What you need before you start
Opening a Deriv account is free and takes a few minutes. Have these ready:
- An email address you can open right now — sign-up is confirmed through a link sent to it.
- You must be 18 or over. Deriv does not accept clients under 18.
- A country Deriv serves. Availability and the products on offer depend on where you live, so choose your real country of residence — it cannot be casually changed later.
- An ID document, eventually. You do not need it to sign up or to use the demo, but you will need it before you withdraw real money.
Creating your Deriv account, step by step
- Start sign-up through register.nextrader.live. It opens Deriv's own registration — NexTrader never sees the details you enter.
- Enter your email and country of residence, then accept Deriv's terms.
- Open the verification email and click the link. If it has not arrived within a few minutes, check spam and promotions before requesting another.
- Set a strong password. Use one you do not use anywhere else — this account will hold real money.

Create an accountVerifying your account
Deriv is required to know who its clients are, so real-money accounts need identity checks. In practice that means two uploads:
- Proof of identity — a passport, national ID card or driving licence.
- Proof of address — a recent utility bill or bank statement showing your name and address.
Do it early, while nothing is waiting on it. Verifying the day you want your first withdrawal is how a quick payout turns into a frustrating wait. Make sure the name and date of birth you entered at sign-up match your documents exactly.
How to log in to Deriv safely
"Deriv login" is one of the most searched Deriv terms, which is exactly why fake login pages exist. A few habits keep your account yours:
- Type your password only on Deriv's own site. Check the address bar reads deriv.com before you enter anything.
- Tools should send you to Deriv, not ask for your password. NexTrader, and any legitimate Deriv app, uses Deriv's OAuth login: you are redirected to Deriv's page, sign in there, and come back connected. A third-party site with its own Deriv password box is a red flag.
- Turn on two-factor authentication in your Deriv security settings, so a stolen password alone is not enough.
- Nobody legitimate will ask for your password — not support, not a signal group, not an "account manager" on Telegram.
Connecting your account to NexTrader
Once your account exists, connecting it takes one screen. Open NexTrader, choose log in, approve the connection on Deriv's own page, and you are back with your balance loaded. Start on the demo account, then try the TradingView charts and signals, the digit analyzer or a Deriv bot.

Is it free to open a Deriv account?

Is Deriv a broker?
Deriv is an online trading provider offering options, multipliers and CFDs on synthetic indices, forex, stocks, commodities and cryptocurrencies. It operates through licensed entities in several jurisdictions, and which one you trade with depends on your country of residence. Trading these products carries a high risk of losing money.
Why can't I log in to my Deriv account?
First confirm you are on deriv.com, not a look-alike address. Then check you verified your email at sign-up, use the forgotten-password option on Deriv's login page if needed, and have your two-factor code ready if it is switched on. If none of that works, contact Deriv support directly.
Does NexTrader see my Deriv password?
No. NexTrader connects through Deriv's official OAuth login, so you sign in on Deriv's own page and your password is never entered on, or stored by, NexTrader.
Can I have more than one Deriv account?
You have one Deriv login per person. Under it you get a demo account and can add real accounts in different currencies, rather than registering again with another email.
Do I need to verify my identity to trade?
Not to sign up or use the demo. Real-money accounts need proof of identity and proof of address, and verification must be complete before you can withdraw. Doing it early avoids delays later.
